Heritage Under Construction

Heritage School’s motto has always been ‘Heritage students deserve the best’.   Although we have worked extremely hard to ensure our students have the best possible facilities available, this has become increasingly difficult over the past few years due to the limitations of the current outgrown and worn out school buildings.  However, things are set to change!  Exciting plans for the new school buildings, which will guarantee a superb ‘state of the art’ centre for learning in the heart of the local community were drawn up over the last twelve months.

After many meetings and a lot of preparation work the building of the new school finally got under way on Tuesday 5 May 2009 when Tomlinson’s Builders started building the Multi-Purpose Games Area (MUGA).  The MUGA was built to ensure that there remains a notable recreational space during brunch and lunch periods as well as during lessons for our students to use; this was essential as the site saw an initial reduction in space to enable the builders to prepare for the building of the first teaching blocks.
