Members of the school community will be aware that Heritage Community School achieved Specialist Status in Mathematics and Computing with effect from September 2006. Following this, there was a consultation on a possible change to the school name which involved governors, staff and students.  A number of options were considered. The version agreed, which was most popular amongst the students, was:

Heritage Mathematics & Computing Specialist School

Schools have to go through a formal process to officially change their name.  This was completed and we are now known as Heritage Mathematics and Computing Specialist School.

Due to the upcoming move to our new school site we have decided again to change the name of the school, the name that has been proposed is:

Heritage High School

A  Mathematics and Computing Specialist College

For more information and to express your thoughts on our proposed name click here or go to the Change of School Name Blog which can be found on the ‘About the School Tab’.
